I usually enjoy reading Cornwell's books. They move along at a brisk pace and even the mundane day to day items work well.This one did not (In my mind) The bickering of the Americans between each other, while based on history and probably true, got boring and made me tired.
The action close to the end was first rate Cornwell.
Not sure how this can turn into a series so I would bet it will not.
