Righteous Warriors

I love this!. I visit it once a year about and always get something new it seems.
Brother Bytheway has an great style and love for any subject he chooses.
While I did this on my ipod I have found his written works to flow just as smoothly.
My wife says I am a Bytheway groupie and maybe that's true. All I know is that i enjoy everything I have read, heard, or seen from this author.

Finding Peace, Happiness, and Joy

This was an enjoyable read. I found the first half of the book more interesting than the last, but that was more due to my mood I think than anything within the book.
I feel that I am a very happy and joyful person. Yet I still was able to pull good suggestions from this book.
Elder Scott's calm, grandfatherly style of writing was a joy to read and made it go quickly.
A lot of the information and ideas were review for me but still it never hurts to review and get assurance that your ideas are on the right track.

Stand a Little Taller

This is set up to be a daily read. I started to do that but went ahead and just read it through. I got a lot of insight from this book. I can see the benefit that comes from starting the day with a good thought. I will probably use it as it was intended starting next year.

Bones of the Dragon

I have read a lot of books by this duo and enjoyed each one. They kind of all follow the same format but usually the characters are enjoyable.

This is the first time in quite awhile where I have not liked the main character from the start and all the way through the book. He never learned enough and he never grew. True this is how some people are in life but i choose not to hang around them or count them as my friends.

The plot was predictably but most in this genre are.

Still it was a good read. Looks like it is the start of a new series for this duo, not really sure if i will pick up the rest or not.

The Voice of My Servants

I enjoyed this book. It seemed to be geared toward teachers in the Church Educational System yet I found some new insight.
I found it refreshing that they chapters were basically texts from talks given at several teaching conferences. Having herd each of the contributors many times it was easy to hear their voices as I read.
If you are a teacher in the Church either professionally or as your calling this is a good read.

He will give you rest

This was a very easy read. ( I finished it in just over an hour).
While I did not find any new ideas or great insight, I still enjoyed the read.
Sometimes just reading good words that reaffirm what you know to be true is well worth the time you take.
This was one of those books.

Dragongirl

It might be unfair for me to comment on this book. I did not finish it, which is very unusual for me.
I was listening to this on my ipod and only made it through disc 2. It was very slow moving for me. I love the Pern novels and have read several by Todd McCaffrey. Each one has been OK but lack the "magic" of his mothers novels.
Here's hoping that he can find his stride as a writer and continue the magic of Pern for years to come.

What the Scriptures teach us about adversity

I really enjoyed this book. If you are going to read it be sure you read the preface first, it will add insight into the read.
The author spent alot of time in the Old Testament for his examples and i learned a few items I was not aware of before. I also had several ideas confirmed, at least by this author.
I enjoy Brother Wilcox as a speaker as well as reading his books.
Highly recommended.
